| Tip #2 |
|
Where possible avoid using cistern and toilet cleaning/deodorizer tablets. When placed in the cistern, the cleaning product causes deterioration of the rubber seals, leading to premature leaking of your toilet. The plastic holders (containing the cleaning tablets) that are placed in the toilet bowl can often fall out and cause a blockage, leading to unnecessary plumbing costs. Although the products themselves promise to create a super clean & fresh smelling toilet they can often cause more damage than you think! |
| Tip #8 |
Consider arranging a water audit as an additional method to help track your water usage & identify equipment & methods to reduce your consumption rates. Did you know: A water audit is a service that Hayes Plumbing QLD offers to assess where households can save water. Once Paul has tested your current level of water usage you will better understand the benefits of using WELS rated water saving devices eg. aerators & flow restrictor valves. You will receive a full report that details the current level of water usage within your home & the reductions when the recommended equipment has been installed. If you are a landlord please be aware schemes are in place that allow you to pass all water charges onto your tenants once specific water efficiency criteria have been met. Please go to www.rta.qld.gov.au for more details or ask your property manager to contact Paul to conduct a water audit at the premises.
