| Tip #10 |
|
Ensure you check that there are no leaks/drips coming from your hot water system. A leak coming from the unit may suggest that you need a new hot water unit (the cylinder inside could have ruptured). If the valve itself is leaking this means that the valve may need replacing. Any leak is wasted energy in electricity or gas and therefore money, so make sure you attend to it quickly by calling Paul at hayesplumbingQLD. |
| Tip #2 |
Where possible avoid using cistern and toilet cleaning/deodorizer tablets. When placed in the cistern, the cleaning product causes deterioration of the rubber seals, leading to premature leaking of your toilet. The plastic holders (containing the cleaning tablets) that are placed in the toilet bowl can often fall out and cause a blockage, leading to unnecessary plumbing costs. Although the products themselves promise to create a super clean & fresh smelling toilet they can often cause more damage than you think! |
