Blocked drains are sure to cause much disruption to the running of your household, so here are some helpful hints to ensure your drains keep flowing freely:
IN THE KITCHEN: avoid pouring greasy substances down your sink – these substances cause fat to build up on the pipes, decreasing their carrying capacity.
IN THE BATHROOM: regularly clean your bathroom, sinks & toilets with disinfectant, remove any build up of hair that may get caught in plugholes & avoid flushing sanitary items/other small objects down the toilet as this may cause a blockage.
OUTSIDE: clean out gutters regularly ensuring your safety at all times.
Regular maintenance of your drains is important in avoiding blockages. |
